The School of Aeronautics and Astronautics Holds a Young Scholars Exchange Meeting in Hong Kong

       On July 17, the Young Scholars Exchange Meeting of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics of Shanghai Jiao Tong University was held at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. This was the School's first official recruitment presentation held outside the Chinese mainland, aiming to strengthen academic ties with young scholars in Hong Kong and Macao.

     The exchange meeting began at 13:30 in Room BC303 of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Hu Shiqiang, Party Secretary of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Liu Dong, Deputy Party Secretary, and young faculty representatives Wang Feng, Gao Yi, Shen Qiang, and Hong Haichao attended the event. Fifteen young scholars from the University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University participated.

     Hu Shiqiang extended a warm welcome to the attending young scholars and introduced the School's development vision and talent strategy. Liu Dong gave a systematic introduction to the University's basic information as well as the School's disciplinary development, research platforms, and talent policies. Wang Feng, drawing on his own experience of returning from the United Kingdom to join the School, shared his personal feelings and growth experience in teaching and research at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

     During the free exchange session, the atmosphere was lively, and the participating scholars held in-depth discussions on topics such as disciplinary frontiers, cooperation opportunities, and career development.

     The exchange meeting effectively enhanced the School's academic influence in Hong Kong and Macao and laid a solid foundation for future exchanges and cooperation. The event was supported by the Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
