CH On April 21, a delegation led by Mr. Han Kok Juan, Director-General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), visited the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics (SAA) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.Liu Fucheng, Dean of the School, met with the guests. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on international industry-university-research cooperation and talent cultivation in the field of Low-Altitude Economy (LAE).
Dean Liu Fucheng extended a warm welcome to Mr. Han Kok Juan and his delegation. He noted that the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics attaches great importance to aviation cooperation with Singapore. Looking ahead, he expressed the hope to jointly explore the establishment of an international joint laboratory for the Low-Altitude Economy, facilitate the commercialization of university research findings, and deepen international industry-university-research synergy.
Mr. Han Kok Juan stated that CAAS is willing to actively promote collaboration between Singapore's leading universities and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He emphasized strengthening pragmatic cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation, joint research, and the formulation of international standards, to jointly bolster innovative development in aerospace and smart transportation for both China and Singapore.
Vice Deans Xu Wu and Zhou Xiang, along with faculty representatives including Yang Rong and Hong Haichao, attended the meeting.
